Chopped potatoes in the Barrel House Cooker.

Whole Potatoes

  1. After cleaning potatoes, lightly coat in olive oil and sprinkle with salt, then wrap in foil.
  2. Once the cooker is lit according to instructions, set the potatoes on a grate on the middle level of the cooker. Close the lid.
  3. Wait about 45 minutes for the potatoes to cook before checking for tenderness. Potatoes are considered done when they’ve reached at least 210°F internally. This usually takes 45-60 minutes.
  4. Remove the potatoes from the Barrel House Cooker using pit glove or tongs.
  5. Serve and enjoy!

Chopped Potatoes

  1. Chop up potatoes of any kind, then lightly toss them in olive oil and seasoning.
  2. There are 3 options for cooking chopped potatoes:
  3. Place them in a disposable aluminum baking pan, small enough to fit in the cooker and set the pan on a grate on the middle level.
  4. Place chopped potatoes in a BBQue Can (short or tall depending on desired quantity (sold separately)) and either hang or grate the BBQue Can in the cooker.
  5. Spread them out on a Slotted Grill Grate(s) (sold separately) on the Open Frame on either the top or middle level of the cooker. They will cook slower on the top level.
  6. Let cook for 45-60 minutes before checking them tenderness. Potatoes are considered done when they’ve reached at least 210°F internally.
  7. Remove the potatoes from the Barrel House Cooker and enjoy!
